Live in Decatur, GA 2000

Concert at Eddie's Attic

So how's everybody doing? Different weather since the last time I was playing here.

I haven't played this song in a while, cause... I've been having this complex lately, like all my songs have to be, like, these strong radio things. Cause you start to get into a setting where people want to hear certain things. This is a song I haven't played in a while, but I hope that you pick up on it a little bit. Cause, you know, I'm pretty young and stupid, and I find myself getting lost a lot of the time. A lot of times I feel like I've lost track of how I even got here. "Here" being, just, wherever it is. Then I start to realize that it's like this thread that never really breaks. You might end up in a hotel room in Tokyo at 4:00 in the morning, and you might end up home in your bed, but you're connected by the same tether. That's what this song is about. It's called "Lifelines."

This is a song that I want everybody to get. Like, I want to box it and give it to you. Cause I think that... I don't know. Anyway. It's called Why Georgia.
